I recently wrote about TV calibration in music games. Why another post? Basically, I hooked-up some external speakers and wanted to tell you what it changed. You also need to know that while I only played Guitar Hero World Tour when I wrote my first post, I’ve bought Rock Band 2 and a drum set in the meantime. This second post consequently applies to both games (and instruments ;)
Well, long story short, connecting my speakers messed with my current calibration setting! The good news is Rock Band’s calibration wizard helped me adjust it just fine. If you want to learn about the benefits of calibration, you can always read my first post on the topic.
Bottom-line, keep in mind that every time you make changes to your hi-fi installation (that happens :), move your Xbox and instruments to a friend’s house or even simply plug-in headphones… c-a-l-i-b-r-a-t-e-!
