Telltale's viral coupon strategy

I’ve just mentioned two interesting deals on Telltate’s games and wanted to share my thoughts on the viral mechanism they are trying to leverage.

I think it’s great!

First, a word on the concept for those of you who have not read my previous post. The idea is quite simple:

  1. Telltale sent a unique coupon to every newsletter subscriber,
  2. The coupon allows anyone to get a discount on Telltale’s games,
  3. Everytime a coupon is used, its ‘owner’ receives a $1 store credit.
